Atletico Madrid manager and suave dresser, Diego Simeone, has reportedly reduced his contract with the La Liga club from 2020 to 2018.

The Argentine has been rumoured to be Arsene Wenger’s successor, more through the sheer desire of fans than anything else, but there’s been nothing concrete to suggest that he actually will.

AS are now claiming that not only has Simeone cut his contract with Atletico short by two years, he’s also taking English lessons. Well folks, it doesn’t get any more concrete than that…

Add to this the fact that others are claiming that no matter what happens this season, Wenger is leaving once his contract expires this summer and it won’t be long before the media start putting two and two together and claim that Simeone will be our next manager. 100%. Fact.

At this moment in time, it all seems a little ‘out there’ and I doubt we’ll know anything one way or another unless much further in the season.

There are other managers, such as Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe, also being linked with the job and, right now, I can’t even speculate who it’ll be.
