Calum Chambers finally got a game for Middlesbrough but he could not help his new side avoid defeat at home to Tottenham.

Playing the full 90, Chambers was a little rusty but still impressed.

He notched up a poor pass completion rate of just 65.1%.

However, 67 touches, two aerials won, four tackles made, five interceptions, four blocks and eight clearances tell a much better story of his debut, as he worked hard. Only four players in the Boro starting lineup were rated higher than him for the game.

Taking to Twitter, Chambers said the following after his debut:

Hopefully he will have done enough to earn a regular place in the starting lineup and we can start to see the talent that prompted Arsenal to spend £17.2m for him in 2014.
