Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed the answer to the question we were all losing sleep over: whether he will celebrate or not if he scores against Arsenal for his new club, Nottingham Forest.

The striker looks set to make his first appearances for his new club after being released by Wolfsburg back in April. He claims to be almost 100% fit and ‘raring to go’. However, during his press conference on Monday afternoon, he inevitably had to answer whether he would celebrate against his former club, Arsenal, during the impending EFL Cup clash.

It seems strange that a player who hasn’t played for Arsenal since 2014 and who spend much of his time with us away on loan to the likes of Birmingham, Sunderland and Juventus, is expected to hold back if he scores against us.

While I appreciate him saying he won’t go too ‘crazy’ as he respects his former team too much, I’d find it odd if he didn’t celebrate at all. Football is about scoring goals and winning, so if he scores, why shouldn’t he be happy?

Celebrate away, Nicklas.
