Hector Bellerin is sure that whomever is tasked with marking Angel Di Maria will be more than up for the task when Arsenal meet PSG in Paris on Tuesday evening.

A player who endured one poor season with Manchester United, Di Maria at PSG is a different proposition than he ever was under Louis van Gaal.

With two assists in the first four league games of the season, despite the team under-performing as a whole, he’s bound to be a threat on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media at the pre-match press conference on Monday evening (after a lengthy delay because the pair got stuck in Paris traffic), Bellerin said about di Maria, “I remember that game [at Old Trafford],” he said.

“He was playing on the other side – I was up against Ashley Young. But we know he’s tricky, has a good left foot, and he will be difficult to defend against. But we’ve played a lot of top players. Whoever is up against him will be ready.”

Bellerin was also quizzed about facing PSG without Zlatan, to which he replied, “I think that, as a club, they have loads of good players.

“I don’t think it affects them at all.

“They have really strong front three at the moment, and anyone they play up front will be dangerous. We will face it as we would have done if he was playing. The team are up for it.”
