According to Sport, Hector Bellerin signing a new contract with Arsenal is dependent on Arsene Wenger staying.

The right-back enjoyed a brilliant season with Arsenal last term and this means that although his contract in north London doesn’t run out until 2019, reports are beginning to emerge that he’s attracting attention from both Barcelona and Manchester City.

Sport claim that the Spaniard staying with Arsenal is dependent on whether the boss stays. Wenger has come under scrutiny again recently and some of it has been justifiable, which has led to talk of him standing down as manager. However, because of how he handled Bellerin’s transfer and has looked after the 21-year-old since he arrived, the defender apparently feels very strongly about his future at the club.

It would make sense, although I doubt such a young player would let whether Wenger was staying at the club affect his decision too deeply. It’s an interesting angle though.
