The day after the transfer window and talk was mostly about what was done and not done.

That’s a lie, it was mostly about Jack Wilshere, with Arsenal fans still arguing about what it means for the player. Then again, Arsenal fans arguing is hardly anything new, only the subject ever changes. At least is this something new for the scraps to take place over.

Jack himself has been speaking about the loan, as has Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe. I believe it’s a great move and we’ll get a better player back at the end of it, but that’s just me. I don’t believe for a second that this is the beginning of the end of his time at Arsenal because by opting to go to Bournemouth he’s showing he’s prepared to do what it takes.

How many others who’ve wasted their talent at Arsenal could you say that about?

And let’s not forget, we sent Aaron Ramsey out on loan when he needed game time to get back some fitness and form after his leg break. This is the same thing, and the last time I checked, Rambo is still very much a part of Arsenal some four years after that loan deal ended.

In other news, Takuma Asano saw a goal for Japan not given when it clearly crossed the line and it could be a costly mistake from the officials. Japan lost the World Cup qualifier, 2-1 to UAE.

Tony Adams explained why he didn’t take up a permanent spot with the Arsenal coaching staff, Ismael Bennacer explained how he’s learning from a few Leicester stars while on international duty and Granit Xhaka gave a very open interview to the Swiss press. It’s one of a few he’s given to press in Switzerland and Albania, and you can find them all here.

We also took a longer look at the transfer window as well as looking at if Arsenal or Tottenham had the better window. Hint – it wasn’t that lot.

Mesut Ozil changed his shirt number with Germany, Thierry Henry is giving his Belgium wages to charity, Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez were given their shirt numbers and Kelechi Nwakali can return to Arsenal if he doesn’t like life with MVV Maastricht (but only in January).

There were some other bits and pieces, all covered on the site, but mostly irrelevant to the importance of anything.
