Another City game, another defeat for Arsenal ladies.

With another stupid free kick given away like last week, Jane Ross scored the only goal in the game as former Arsenal player, Steph Houghton’s free kick deflected off her head.

With a new 3-4-1-2 system used by Pedro Losa, the players looked like they did not know what they were doing on the pitch.

Against a quality opponent like City, it clearly did not work out well enough and the attacking, passing and movement was not there at all.

The system seemed to be alien to the players.

They did not manage to get behind the City defence and create many chances.

You really wonder what the players and manager have been doing in training this week, especially when you consider how many chances were created last week.

There will be questions to be asked, at the end of the season, of the coaching staff and the players as the club has clearly under-performed as a whole.

There have not been good enough performances for the whole season against the big teams and something must be done to have a good 2017/18 season.
