Aleix Vidal is reportedly not taking the news that Barcelona are willing to bid €35m for Hector Bellerin too well.

According to Spanish paper Sport, as reported by Sport Witness, Vidal isn’t loving the fact that he’s not part of the Catalan club’s plans. What a surprise.

Barca have already wheeled out the tried and tested ‘Barcelona DNA’ comments and Vidal will no doubt be fully aware of what they’re attempting to shamelessly do. No wonder he’s apparently not too happy about the situation.

“We’ve already seen him as a Cule! He’s a great player, there’s no doubt about that,” Barcelona vice president Jordi Mestre said.

“Arsene Wenger convinced him to move in 2011 and promised him something which we couldn’t.

“We could not promise him that within two years he would be playing in Dani Alves’ place.”

He added, “In many cases it’s good that they leave to develop as players and then return with experience,

“Look at the cases of Cesc Fabregas, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Denis Suarez… I hope the same thing will happen with Sergi Samper, too.

“It’s positive that these players get minutes at other clubs. It is dynamic which has always provided good results for players that carry the Barca DNA in their blood.”

Although, he can’t really be that surprised, surely? The 27-year-old has only made one La Liga appearance so far this season and nine last term. He’s had some injury troubles, granted, but does he really think he’s the best player to step in for Dani Alves?

I’m not saying that Bellerin is though. Bellerin is terrible. One of the worst right-backs I’ve ever seen. Barcelona definitely shouldn’t be after him.

Go away.
