Jack Wilshere missed out on Arsenal’s 3-1 over Chivas in the early hours of Monday morning after the midfielder was ruled out with a patella problem that is expected to keep him out for around a week.

Of course, this being Jack, I laughed at the thought of him being injured and out for only a week, but then I realised the problem affected his knee and not an ankle so he might be OK.

This news comes on the back of Arsene Wenger saying that Santi Cazorla may not make the first game of the season as he continues his return from a knee injury, while the Ox’s knee is giving the boss cause for concern.

With Per Mertesacker ruled out until the new year with his own knee injury, it’s like the club put in for a bulk discount.

Knee injuries for everyone!

Fun times.

Arsenal play Vikings on Friday and Manchester City on Sunday. It looks unlikely that Jack will make either game.
