Jack Wilshere, Calum Chambers, Serge Gnabry and Shkodran Mustafi are all set to be the main names going in and out of Arsenal on transfer deadline day so what can Gooners expect?

On transfer deadline day eve it all seemed to kick off. Not because of big players being linked with a bank-breaking moves to north London but because a couple of men who we didn’t expect to go out on loan, might.

Here are the main names to look out for on transfer deadline day if you’re an Arsenal fan, as well as what to expect.

Jack Wilshere

On Tuesday a.k.a. transfer deadline day eve, the midfielder was linked with a loan move away from Arsenal to just about every other club in Europe. West Ham, Juventus, Valencia, Crystal Palace and Besiktas were all among the teams said to be interested in the 24-year-old, although it later came out that the Hammers apparently aren’t after all.

Some outlets decided to run with the story that Jack was demanding a loan move away to get more playing time, which probably isn’t true. Although, a temporary spell in a squad where he’ll actually play would be beneficial.

The story is hotting up so he’s definitely one name to keep an eye on.

Calum Chambers

The defender was said to be having his medical at Middlesbrough ahead of a loan move to the newly promoted club. Obviously, this might not happen but he appears to have been pictured on his way there.

Arsene Wenger recently confirmed that the 21-year-old could be going out on loan following the signing of Rob Holding from Bolton and Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia.

Loaning out another defender seems like a risky move but it looks as if it could happen.

Serge Gnabry

One minute the winger was off o Bayern Munich so he could be loaned out straight away to Werder Bremen, the next he was just going to Werder Bremen, not Bayern.

Arsene Wenger recently claimed to want to sign Gnabry to a new Arsenal contract but in hindsight, his comments sound as if he knew the German wanted a move away from the club, which is really disappointing.

“I want to keep Serge Gnabry and extend his contract,” Wenger said before Arsenal’s Leicester clash.

“I think we stood by him. He went to West Brom, didn’t play, we had to rebuild his confidence. I allowed him to go to the Olympics to help Germany.

“I think he’s here now for a long time.”

However, with only one year left on his contract, what else can we do if he wants to go?

If it happens and the deal is permanent, hopefully we get a good fee. It’s said to be in the region of €8m – €10m.

Earlier in the window, Gnabry was linked with loan moves to Hertha BSC, RB Leipzig and FSV Mainz 05.

Random Player

Whether it’s 22-year-old Paraguay international winger, Miguel Almiron, who has been linked with a move to north London over the past few days; a huge name like Antoine Griezmann; someone we’ve previously linked with like Alexandre Lacazette or a complete wildcard, Arsenal will most likely be rumoured to be signing a random player.

Whether the rumour makes it to Sky Sports or just lurks on Twitter, a random link will pop up. There will most likely be no truth to it – it may be a player we’ve never heard of or an unbelievable star, but it looks as if we’ve got our business done now. All we need to do is announce Mustafi.

I think, this year, transfer deadline day will be all about the outgoings.
