After Arsenal drew Nottingham Forest in the English Football League (EFL) Cup, Arsene Wenger discussed who we could potentially see play.

Arsenal are set to play Nottingham Forest on the 20th-21st September and, as is the norm, it’s very likely that Arsene Wenger will use this as a chance to get some of our younger players some experience. We’ll probably also field some senior players but everyone knows that this is usually the time most clubs choose to showcase their upcoming talent.

Speaking ahead of our match against Watford, Wenger revealed that the younger players who performed well in pre-season are the ones most likely to feature in the Cup.

“We have a few who are had a very good pre-season like Chris Willock, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Chuba Akpom,” Wenger said.

“They are the three who have been outstanding – Krystian Bielik as well has done extremely well. They could play.”

Chris Willock could potentially be going out on loan so we may not see him. Although it’d be brilliant to see Chuba Akpom, who scored a few times in pre-season, including against Manchester City.

The Cup most likely won’t be a priority this season but it’s a good day for the youngsters.
