FC Utrecht seem set to play Tafari Moore in their youth team despite Arsenal saying the 19-year-old would now ‘test himself in the top tier of Dutch football.’

Arsenal confirmed Moore’s loan on Wednesday with reports in the Netherlands claiming that the player was no longer wanted at Arsenal. He had been on trial with them in July, impressing their manager, Erik ten Hag, who was keen to land him for the next season at least.

After the loan was confirmed, ten Hag said, “His internship in the Netherlands has managed to convince Moore.

“We know the plans of Arsenal and see this as a win-win situation for all parties.

“With this product of Arsenal Youth, FC Utrecht met a young defender with offensive qualities in house “

Elfvoetbal report that Moore will go into their youth ranks rather than straight into the first team which we were expecting after reading Arsenal’s announcement.

Still, it’s up to him to prove he has what it takes to deserve that spot, I guess.
