Well, this is already an annoying transfer and it’s only a few hours old.
First up we have the links that appeared this morning saying that Bayern Munich wanted to sign Serge Gnabry and send him on loan to Werder Bremen. Then we had Serge’s dad saying the player wants to go to Bayern Munich but he’d rather that he showed a bit more patience and stayed with Arsenal (we like you Mr Gnabry).
We’ve even had reports that Bayern will pay ‘over €8m’ for him.
Then we got reports that Arsenal are in talks with Werder themselves and the player quite wants a move there too.
Nope. Not confusing at all.
Werder saying Gnabry wants to go there, talks with Arsenal going well, Bayern element doesn't change things. https://t.co/KFxvaNMq9x

Bremen got info on Gnabry from Mertesacker, who was full of praise. #AgentPer https://t.co/OUZYZcRfXu

The only thing in this story that is clear is that nothing is. Obviously Bayern Munich want him and that, like it would with anyone, has turned Serge’s head.
Then, as I was doing this update, Werder started tweeting saying the’d agreed a deal with the player.

#Baumann: "We were interested in the player four years ago but unfortunately it didn't work out back then."

Noone knows if this is for a loan or a permanent move, but you would expect it to be for a loan, but we might not get answers until tomorrow
#Baumann: "The transfer could be confirmed tomorrow morning."

Arsenal don’t seem to be out of this just yet and hopefully, Mr. Gnabry can work some fatherly-pressure into the mix and make his son do the right thing.
