Tuesday was one of the slowest news days for a while but boy, was the rumour mill spinning.

When I use the phrase ‘slow news day’, I mean that two of the stories we reported on were Alexis Sanchez making his dogs an Instagram account and Aaron Ramsey’s hilarious new hair cut. Yeah.

Among the slightly less ridiculous pieces of news from the day was Tyrell Robinson scoring a goal for West Brom’s u23s while on trial there. He’s reportedly unhappy with being played as a full-back at Arsenal so it’s therefore possible that he could move permanently.

Petr Cech signed a contract with Puma; Alexis Sanchez got called up for Chile’s World Cup 2018 qualifiers in September; Gervinho trod on someone’s private parts and deservedly got a red card and Djibril Sidibe explained why he didn’t sign for Arsenal.

From The Stand, Matthew expressed his frustration at Arsene Wenger in his latest column, which I’m pretty sure we can all identify with right now and you can have a listen to Lee and Stephen discussing the events of the last week, including the draw against Leicester, in our free podcast.

Now for the frustrating bit.

Mathieu Flamini and Emmanuel Adebayor are set to reunite at Caykur Rozespor with reportedly impressive contracts.

Real Madrid have apparently told James Rodriguez that he’s not going anywhere. Although reports are now emerging that he could be.

West Ham could be about to sign Wilfried Bony, who Arsenal were linked with, and West Brom are rumoured to have slapped a £25m price tag on Jonny Evans, which the Guardian has slammed as ‘wide of the mark’.

Alexandre Lacazette scored his fifth goal in two matches and promptly denied that he was leaving Lyon again.

The main story on Tuesday, however, was Valencia’s manager saying that Shkrodran Mustafi would be staying at the club. Sky Sports think the German wants to sign for Arsenal and that the La Liga club are just being stubborn. Fun fun fun.
