On Thursday, Arsene Wenger gave his pre-Leicester City press conference and most of the news surrounded his comments.

The boss gave an update on how our injured players are doing and confirmed that both Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi will be out until after the international break. Got to love hearing that again.

He also explained that Laurent Koscielny is ‘close’ and that, if he needs to, he might ‘gamble’ on playing the centre-back, Mesut Ozil and/or Olivier Giroud at the weekend. Hmmm.

Also, despite Gabriel still being at the ‘six-to-eight week mark’, Wenger admitted that it’s hard to tell because he can’t walk yet.

Wenger also spoke about Leicester’s count-attacking football; the Arsenal fans’ reaction to the Liverpool loss; wanting to keep Gnabry; respecting both Mahrez and Vardy for basically rejecting us and claimed that 99.5% of former Arsenal players want to return, including Thierry Henry, who coincidentally recently gave an interview in which he backed Manchester City to clinch the title this season.

Earlier this morning, Usmanov’s camp also denied recent reports that they were going to sell shares and move to Everton.

Gnabry’s Germany are guaranteed a silver medal after beating Nigeria 2-0 in the Olympics, Hayden scored for his new club Newcastle and an unfit Wojciech Szczesny sat on the bench for Roma’s draw with Porto.

We also have the current gossip, including the latest on Mustafi and Draxler.
