Wojciech Szczesny returned to the Roma starting lineup for their 4-0 win over Udinese in Serie A, after missing their Champions League game due to a lack of match fitness.

Roma got a helping had thanks to two penalties, both converted by Diego Perotti (65′, 75′) after he replaced Stephan El Shaarawy in the second half.

The first half finished goalless, however the penalties in the second half changed the game and Roma netted another two in the final 10 minutes thanks to Edin Dzeko and Mohamed Salah.

Thomas Vermaelen also returned to the side after his red card in his debut against Porto in the Champions League qualifier earlier in the week.

Woj finished the game with 38 passes (that’s 16 more than Jamie Vardy managed against Arsenal), a passing accuracy of 92.1%, landing nine of his 12 long clearances and making one save.
