According to reports, Real Madrid are willing to offer James Rodriguez to Arsenal for a minuscule £65m, except someone needs to tell Zinedine Zidane because he doesn’t seem to have a clue.

Remember a few weeks ago when reports insinuated that Arsenal had made a £71m for Rodriguez? Well, apparently the La Liga club are willing to give us a discount! How generous.

The latest is that Real are are so desperate to get rid of the poor bloke that they his agent, Jorge Mendes has been told to put out the word in the Premier League that he’s only going to cost £65m.

Arsenal and Chelsea are supposed to be among the teams put on ‘alert’.

However, Real’s boss, Zidane, has reportedly told AS that the player is staying.

“James is here, I am happy with how he played and he will be staying here,” he said.

“I will always respond in the same way to that, I’m tired of having to give a response. My stance is not going to change.”

The 25-year-old is a decent player, there’s no doubt about it, but it’s not happening. If we’re reluctant to spend that amount of money on a striker, why would we go and spend it on an attacking midfielder?

It makes no sense for us to buy him and Real Madrid (probably) don’t want to offload him.
