Alex Iwobi what once again fantastic during Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Manchester City.
The Gunners came from 1-0 down to win thanks to goals from Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Chuba Akpom.
Here’s how they all got on.
Petr Cech – 7
Didn’t have a huge amount to do and the goal wasn’t really his fault.
Hector Bellerin – 6
Speedy and sharp as usual.
Rob Holding – 6
Not bad, considering Gabriel threw him in the deep end by being a terrible partner.
Gabriel – 4
Shockingly, the defender was out of position for City’s 30th minute goal. He also kept leaving 20-year-old Rob Holding to mark Sergio Aguero, which is really terrible.
Hopefully, his injury isn’t too serious.
Nacho Monreal – 6
The Spaniard looked lively and put through some lovely balls down the flank.
Granit Xhaka – 6.5
Another superb performance, his passes forward were brilliant.
Francis Coquelin – 5.5
Missed a practically open goal because he hesitated and allowed the City defence to crowd him. Elneny would have scored that.
Aaron Ramsey – 6.5
The Wales international looked sharp and fit going forward. However, his shooting and free-kicks need work.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6
The wide-man had a huge chance in the 18th minute but his chip was marginally wide. He should have done better.
He did well to force City into a couple of mistakes at the back and other than being slightly rusty in front of goal, he was otherwise pretty good in five-second bursts. He chased every ball down and looked energetic. However, this is the problem. He looks fantastic for about five seconds and then loses the ball.
Alexis Sanchez – 6.5
The Chilean looked fit, as always, and linked up well with Aaron Ramsey.
Alex Iwobi – 5.5
The forward was uncharacteristically quiet… until he scored our first goal just after half-time.
SUBS
Calum Chambers
Mohamed Elneny – 6
Far more comfortable on the ball than Coquelin.
Theo Walcott – 7
Excellent work for Iwobi’s goal – playing out right suits him… who would have thought it, eh?
He also scored our second goal, putting us ahead for the first time in the match.
