The local press in Galicia are reporting that Lucas Perez will begin training with Arsenal tomorrow (Tuesday) as he is to report to the club to receive the ‘orders of Wenger.’.

Expected to give a press conference today, it was stopped for ‘operational reasons’ – ie Arsenal most likely told him to stop that nonsense. Well, they think it’s nonsense, we think it would have been great.

Completing his medical on Saturday, Perez is still expected to hold the presser, but later in the week after it has all been made official by Arsenal.

As well as agreeing to pay the full €20m release clause in one lump sum, Arsenal also agreed to pay around €4m in taxes that would arise because of the transfer. It is a four year deal and he will earn around £40k per week.

His deal is expected to be announced on Tuesday alongside Shkodran Mustafi in two of the least surprising announcements ever made in the history of football.
