The odds on Manchester City goalkeeper, Joe Hart, to join Arsenal have been slashed from 8/1 to 4/1…erm…what?

I can’t remember a time when we’ve ever been linked with Joe Hart. In fact, the only reports I can find this are ones coming off the back of this Daily Star story, which basically just points out that the odds have been halved.

So, why is this so bizarre? Well, as much as I realise that Pep Guardiola is trying to shake things up a bit over at the Etihad, I don’t think he’d sell Joe Hart. Although he’s not fantastic, he’s not terrible.

What’s more is that I can’t see Hart signing for Arsenal knowing he’ll be sitting on the bench behind Petr Cech? If he’s going to be a benchwarmer he might as well make mega-bucks with City while doing so…unless Pep’s really that eager to get rid of him. And even then, I don’t see the former Bayern Munich boss selling to a rival unless he really, really doesn’t rate the England international.

Interesting. And by interesting I mean foolish.
