With very little in the way of actual news, we got stuck into the deep, depressing world of Arsenal gossip, including the latest on Shkodran Mustafi.

Let’s start off with the actual news, as usual, shall we?

Arsene Wenger hailed Laurent Koscielny following our 0-0 draw away to Leicester. He believes that the centre-back saved us a point and admitted that, right now, he has no other defensive solutions.

Two former Gunners spoke out about the state of Arsenal at the moment. Patrick Vieira admits that although he somewhat admires Wenger’s approach to management, he thinks we should have more ex-players coaching at the club, like Ajax. Robert Pires, on the other hand, still thinks that Wenger is the right man for the job.

Walcott basically thinks we should all lighten up because we’re only two games into the season. Okay, he doesn’t say it quite like that but he does reel off the standard ‘look at the positives’ spiel and seems very optimistic going into our clash against Watford.

We shared a video of Arsenal’s 12-year-old wonderkid, Omari Hutchinson; Bryan Ruiz welcomed Joel Campbell to Sporting; Ben Sheaf spoke about Arsenal’s u23s losing to Manchester City and Xhaka claimed that he’s a leader.

Antoine Griezmann got all our mouths watering by claiming that he wouldn’t mind signing for the Premier League one day. Although his hero as a kid was David Beckham so he’s more likely to move somewhere a little more north of London if he does…

Serge Gnabry has three German clubs after him after his performance at the Euros.

The biggest ‘story’ of the day was probably the fact that Mustafi, who was supposed to be signing for Arsenal by Wednesday (lol) could be staying at Valencia because they don’t want to sell him. Good grief.
