Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud have been called up to the France squad that will face Italy and Belarus when the first interlull descends upon us next week.

The French will face Italy in Bari on 1 September and then travel to Borisov, home of the Hleb, to face Belarus as World Cup qualifying gets underway.

The French players will no doubt be looking to show they are over the disappointment of not winning the Euros by putting on a strong display in their opening games but they face tough opposition in Italy away.

Alexandre Lacazette will take time out from being linked with Arsenal to also take some part in the games.
