According to beINSPORT, Jese Rodriguez is set to sign for PSG in the next 72 hours.

Although we were only briefly linked with Real Madrid’s Jese, the move could indicate that PSG’s initial interest in Alexandre Lacazette has died down and this could pave the way for Arsenal to sign him.

Although it appears that Arsenal are pretty much the only club genuinely interested in signing Lacazette, there was an outside chance of the Ligue 1 club coming in and sweeping him off his feet. Now, according to the French media, this chance is ‘tiny’.

Would Jese have been a decent signing? Maybe. The 23-year-old forward scored six La Liga goals and assisted eight last season. But he’s not quite the proven goalscorer we need, which Lacazette is.

I’m not sure we were ever really interested in Jese but it’s made PSG perk up a bit, hasn’t it? Would you look at that?
