Arsenal have reportedly accepted a loan offer for Mathieu Debuchy from Turkish club Galatasaray.

The right-back has struggled to get regular football since Hector Bellerin overtook him in the pecking order and despite being initially tipped to sign for Ligue 1 club Bordeaux, where he spent the second half of last season on loan, it appears he’s going to Turkey instead.

The report comes courtesy of Gökmen Özdemir, a journalist close to Gala.

All that’s left now is to agree personal terms with Debuchy.

Sending the 30-year-old out on loan again seems a little odd considering we clearly have no long-term plans for him. However, after the talks with Bordeaux broke down, it’s pretty likely that Arsenal were asking for too much money or that Gala can’t pay 100% of his wages just yet. Or that they’re unwilling to invest in such an injury-prone player.

What is clear is that Debuchy is off again but this time for how long?
