Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Arsenal will most likely field the same squad against Watford as they did against Leicester City.

This means that Arsenal fans can probably look forward to seeing appearances from the likes of Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud, although it’s doubtful that the France international will start as he’s still recovering from Euro 2016.

Although we still have the same injuries, fortunately, we haven’t picked up anymore and it’ll be beneficial to see an unchanged starting XI against the Hornets.

Arsenal are yet to register a win this season and although there has only been two fixtures so far, losing 4-3 at home to Liverpool on the opening day was a big blow. It’s up to Arsenal now to ‘bounce back’, as they’re always saying, and start winning.

The international break is just around the corner and having our players leave on a high can only be a positive thing for when they return.

The boss also said that Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi are ‘progressing well’; Gabriel is six weeks away and so is Carl Jenkinson.

“Carl Jenkinson, we plan six weeks from today. He had to do his shoulders as well – sometimes when a guy has weaknesses and he has a big injury, you take advantage of the fact that he has a big injury to sort out the short ones. That’s what we did with him. He had the two shoulders done [too]. He went through a tough time, Carl. But he’s brave, conscientious, motivated and I think he will come back well.”
