As Manchester United scored late on to beat a stubborn Hull side, we all rolled our eyes.

Under Sir Alex Ferguson, United scoring into injury time was so common that it was even dubbed ‘Fergie time.’ Since he left, we’ve had to watch on as United turned back to mere mortals and struggle like the rest of us.

So, it was with some surprise when I saw a tweet from Optajoe that showed not only have United not scored the most 90th minute winners, they’ve scored fewer than Arsenal!

Madness, eh?

It really does go to show how much of football is perception-based and has no toe hold in reality.
