With Arsenal still on the look out for a striker and a huge transfer kitty available, Arsene Wenger should go and buy Antoine Griezmann.

L’Equipe has mentioned that the transfer clause from the Frenchman has gone up but not inflated by much compared to his previous one. His new value is now €100m while his previous one was at €80m. It is not a huge raise for the current Euros’ top scorer.

We know that the striker has been on Arsene Wenger’s shortlist for a while. The current Euros have shown that he has improved a lot in the recent years and has played in the two big finals in 2016: the UEFA Champions League and the Euros.

The tournament has also shown that Griezmann and Olivier Giroud work very well together and you would hope that they could replicate that form at club level in a 4-4-2 system.

Combining with Ozil, Ramsey, Sanchez, Campbell or Iwobi and with Xhaka, Elneny behind the forwards in a 4-2-3-1, and him as a lone striker would also bring some goals and would allow the team to play on the break and use his pace.

So €100m is very much and an expensive price but there are guarantees that he would bring goals and integrate well in the team’s attacking style.
