On Wednesday it was announced that Jon Toral would spend the season on loan with Granada.

The Spaniard, who arrived at the club at the same time as Hector Bellerin but who has struggled with knee problems (thankfully now sorted), has spent the last few seasons out on loan, impressing more and more with every new spell.

This should be an exciting one for him, and it’s one he certainly seems to be looking forward to.

“He [Javier Torralbo] told me about the new project I was eager to sign here, I was convinced,” Toral told the Granada website.

“I am very excited to continue training with my new teammates

“I will try to provide fluidity, rapid ball circulation, [but I] also come to learn from my teammates and the coach and all the technical staff. I look forward to learning from everyone and improving as a player.

“I come to learn, grow as a player and help the team in any way I can.

“To me this is a step forward, I’m very excited and looking forward, it is my biggest challenge to date.”

“I played inside, attacking midfielder and even defence in a match in England, but I adapt to what the coach asks me. To help the team which is most important.”

Arsenal have yet to comment on the move.
