It’s been a while since we analysed a hug on Daily Cannon but wait no more! Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez, hugged Alvaro Morata – we must alert the press!
No joke, sections of the British media are taking the La Liga club’s president hugging Morata upon his return to training for their team as a sign he’s staying.
Let me back-track a bit
Real bought the striker back from Juventus for £23m, with reports saying that they were just doing this to sell him on for an increased price, therefore making a decent profit. Even the player acknowledged that although he’d love to play for the club, there are numerous stars that he’d have to overtake.
Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with a move for the Spaniard but now, because of this hug, the press believe he’s staying in with Real.
Who knows? Maybe he is staying in Spain but I’m not going to sit here and read into an act of human affection just because I’m starved of transfer action.
