Despite what numerous reports are claiming, Leicester have apparently not received any contact from Arsenal regarding Riyad Mahrez.

An exclusive report by Squawka claims that the Foxes have not received a bid of any amount or inquiry about the wide-man. Not from the Gunners anyway…in fact, the only bid they’ve received has been £40m from Everton. Yep.

The Toffies have reportedly made a move for the 25-year-old amid speculation that he’s supposed to be signing for us in the coming days. This move to north London, however, at least recently, seems to be just a load of hot air from the press.

Were we ever interested in Mahrez?

I’d say we were interested at one point unverified information that we received backs up this view point.

Wenger has never hidden his admiration for the Algerian and given that he’s refused to sign a new contract with Leicester…perhaps there’s a speck of hope. However, I wouldn’t put money on it. I think we can safely say Riyad Mahrez won’t be coming to Arsenal.
