Olivier Giroud could be set to miss out on France’s Euro semi-final clash against Germany on Thursday through injury.

The striker missed training on Tuesday with a knee problem – not to be confused with the abductor issue he had early in the tournament.

There’s been no official word on the injury either way and I imagine he was rested from training with the rest of the squad as a precaution.

The striker has been huge for France during the Euros, scoring three goals and assisting two, and if he misses this clash against Germany, it could have massive repercussions. Not only this but the 29-year-old has worked so hard, he’ll be disappointed not to be involved at this late stage.

Hopefully, he just needed a couple of days to rest and he’ll be available for selection on Thursday evening. Us Gooners will have our fingers crossed for him (and our toes crossed for Mesut Ozil for Germany).
