According to reports, Julian Draxler’s agent has contacted Arsenal about a move to north London, although no deal has been agreed.

These reports, however, are pretty unreliable since they appear to have originated from journalist, Emanuele Giulianelli. As we’ve mentioned before, he’s wrong far more often than he’s right.

Draxler to Arsenal is one of the big deals that’s slightly easier to believe at the moment. Arsene Wenger loves the German and has admired him from afar for a long time. Draxler is sure to have heard this and has made it clear he’s unhappy at Wolfsburg.

I don’t believe we’ll sign him during this summer transfer window. He’s still only 22 and I reckon we have bigger fish to fry right now. His £43m doesn’t make him any more desirable, either.

Saying all this, I would be thrilled if we did sign him, I just don’t believe we will at this moment in time.
