Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, claims he ‘doesn’t know’ what the future holds for Arsenal target, Jese Rodriguez.

The forward, who is currently on pre-season tour with the La Liga club in Ohio, has only recently been linked with a move to north London.

Compared with some of the other names among the Real Madrid squad, Jese is relatively unknown. He made 28 La Liga performances last season, scored five goals and assisted seven, which doesn’t sound too promising but when you take into account that most of those appearances were as a substitute, it’s actually quite promising.

It also seems as if Real aren’t that dead-set on keeping hold of him.

“If he wants to leave a play more, I don’t know [SIC],” said Zidane, following his side’s 3-1 loss to PSG.

“It’s our first game. He’s here, he played. Everyone’s here – that’s all I can say now.”

He’s not the big name striker we’ve been talking about but could he be a decent addition to the squad? Most definitely. Saying this, it does sound as if Real are just trying to flog him to the highest bidder.
