Remember Alvaro Morata? Well apparently we haven’t given up on our pursuit of the Spanish forward and we’re willing to throw all the money at him in order to get him to come to north London.

Shortly after signing to Real Madrid from Juventus, it looks as if the La Liga team are already holding true to the rumours that they would be signing him back for his buy-back clause and then selling him on for a profit.

Instead of the £50m that was speculated, it seems they only (?) want £30m, if reports coming out of Spain are to be believed, but it’s his wages that could prove tricky. Apparently, we’re willing to offer him £144,000 a week, which will be more than Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

If we can afford it, fair enough, but it could set the cat among the pigeons with regards to negotiating other players’ contacts. Ozil and Alexis are both thought to be getting offered new contracts soon and if we’re paying Morata more than them, I highly doubt they’ll settle for less.
