The first fixtures of the new season have been shuffled around a bit in order to show some of them on TV.

Our opening match of the season against Liverpool at home will kick-off on August 14th at 4pm (UK time) and be shown on SKY.

Our clash against Leicester on the 20th August kicks off at 5:30pm and will air on BT Sport, as will our match with Chelsea on September 24th.

What does this mean for Arsenal?

Well, we get to actually watch three of our opening batch of matches in all their glory, rather than resorting to pixelated, laggy streams online (not that we condone this, of course). Or in the case of a couple of the fixtures, more people may get to watch us embarrass ourselves.

Other than this, it doesn’t mean a whole lot.

After getting their foot in the door, BT Sport are gradually getting more and more Premier League matches – it’ll be interesting to see if and how SKY will respond.
