Europe1sport are claiming that Arsenal have called off their pursuit of Alexandre Lacazette because Lyon were demanding too much money.
Arsenal have seemingly been in talks with the Ligue 1 club for a while and our interest in the striker appears to be genuine. There have been reports that we’re willing to meet his release clause of £34.2m, reports that we’re not, reports that they want £42m and now reports that we’ve abandoned our interest because they’re asking too much.
However, our need for a striker and long-term interest in the 25-year-old means that Arsenal fans aren’t exactly believing this latest twist to the saga easily. In fact, people are pretty convinced this is a load of hot hair.
