Arsenal have reportedly told any clubs enquiring about Olivier Giroud that the striker is not for sale.

According to reports, we were initially open to at least listening to offers toward to end of last season after several clubs asked about signing him. However, given his spectacular form for France in the Euros, we’ve had a change of heart.

The 29-year-old has scored three goals during the tournament and has been a huge part of France getting to the final. It’s no wonder that we wouldn’t let him go!

Although, to be perfectly honest, I doubt we would have truly listened to genuine offers from anyone, even if Giroud had a stinker of a tournament. Arsene Wenger has put too much time and faith into the Frenchman to sell him. What I believe is and has always been the plan is to buy a second striker so that Oli isn’t our only option, especially as Danny Welbeck is out for months.
