Wojciech Szczesny has confirmed that he’ll decide on his future after the Euros.

While many players wanted to get their business wrapped up before the Euros in France this summer, our Polish goalkeeper is clearly relaxed about his impending decision.

“Right now I’m not thinking about my future,” the 26-year-old said.

“My teammates and I are focused exclusively on the Euros. I hope to achieve a good result with Poland, I’ll only think about other things once the tournament is over.”

Admittedly, the choice isn’t a huge one. He either stays at Roma for another season on loan or returns to Arsenal. The ball seems to be in his court, although it does appear that he wants to stay in Italy for a bit longer in order to gain more game time and, as a result, experience.

Returning to north London now could have its benefits but I highly doubt anything massively will have changed by the time he returns. As it stands, he can grow in Serie A and then come back when – hopefully – Petr Cech will still be at the club, ready and willing to hand down any advice he can.
