Jamie Vardy has reportedly asked for more time to decide whether he’ll move to Arsenal or not.

The Leicester City striker, whose release clause we triggered on Friday evening, is clearly having trouble coming to a decision and, according to the Leicester Mercury, has asked for more time.

Initially, it was reported that both us and his representatives wanted the deal to be done by Monday, considering this is when the 29-year-old will travel to France for Euro 2016. Despite what some sections of the media are claiming, no medical has taken place yet and no final decision has been made.

It’s frustrating because I’m sure most parties want a conclusion draw as soon as possible, including the England manager, Roy Hodgson, but it is a big one for the striker, who is clearly mulling this over good and proper.

On one hand, he gets double the pay (£120,000 a week) with Arsenal, as well as o play for one of the biggest teams in the world. On the other, Leicester won the title last season and he’ll be a hero if he stays.

We’ll keep you posted if we hear anything else. In the mean time, you can catch up on everything that’s happened so far here.
