Stoke’s Xherdan Shaqiri has defended Granit Xhaka after the Arsenal midfielder blasted his penalty wide, costing his country a place in the quarter finals.
The game ended goalless after extra time and in a perfect set of penalties, only the Arsenal man missed. I guess that means they weren’t a perfect set, doesn’t it? Anyway…
This, of course, prompted laughter from many online who instantly branded him a bottler. (Spurs fans in particular, you’d think they’d know an actually bottler when they see on#fiveoneatnewcastle)
But his international teammate has no worries of any lasting issues from the miss.
Shaqiri on Xhaka: "Granit is very professional so he can cope with this… He will get up and move on."

He really doesn’t seem like the type to sulk anyway, so we weren’t worried at all.
