Although the Euros are still in the full swing of three games a day, Saturday saw a set of matches that featured no Arsenal interest.

Of course, we could have followed Thomas Vermaelen as he played actual football, but given the number of Spurs players in the Belgian side, it was hard to do so with any sort of enthusiasm.

What that meant is that it was back to the rumour mill and people were really starting to get creative as cabin fever sets in.

One website declared that Arsenal are considering swapping Aaron Ramsey for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho, a rumour that was picked up with glee around the internet. They aren’t. It’s about as stupid a rumour as you are likely to see this summer.

Atletico Madrid have apparently submitted a whopping bid for Gonzalo Higuain but his future could lie in Napoli as they get ready to offer him a new deal. But don’t worry, Arsenal could be after Fulham’s Moussa Dembele. At least he’s not quite an unknown from Ligue 2, huh?

Mathieu Debuchy is still a wanted man, although no-one seems to want him enough just yet to put in a concrete offer for him.

In actual news, Arsenal’s u21 side could play in the Football League Trophy next season while young goalkeeper Ryan Huddart will spend the season on loan with Eastleigh.

That’s about it, thankfully there’s some Arsenal action later today as Granit Xhaka faces up to Olivier Giroud and Laurent Kosicelny.

Woop.
