Aaron Ramsey has admitted that he’s enjoyed winding up his fellow Arsenal players over Wales’ qualification to Euro 2016.

This is the first time the Welshman‘s national team has managed to qualify for a big European championship and he’s understandably proud with the achievement. So much so, that he’s been letting his mouth run away from him in training by the sounds of it.

“Normally I’m on holiday now,” Ramsey told the Guardian.

“When the qualification campaign started and we got those couple of wins early on I kept winding the Arsenal boys up, saying: ‘I’ll see you in France’. The way things were developing it was looking promising. To finally achieve it was great.

“To go in [to Arsenal] knowing I would actually be playing in the finals – I can share that experience now with some of the players who’ve done it. The Arsenal players were pleased and the manager was as well. He said we could be pretty dangerous, so hopefully that proves to be right – he’s a wise man.”

The 25-year-old will be looking to feature heavily in Wales’ Euro campaign considering he and Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale are two of the team’s big hitters.

Their first match comes against Slovakia on Saturday and after losing 3-0 to Sweden on Sunday, they’ll be looking to do an Arsenal and ‘bounce back’ when it really matters. This is a big opportunity for Wales to really put themselves on the map in Europe – something they’ve never been able to do.

Just look at it this way, Rambo. If all else fails, just blind them with your hair.
