David Ospina and Colombia defeated the USA 1-0 in the Copa America third-place playoff which was played in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Dave has come in for quite a lot of criticism during his time at the club and here at Daily Cannon we haven’t been his biggest fans. But when he pulls on his national team jersey he seems to transform into a world class keeper.

He arrived at Arsenal after an amazing World Cup and his performances in this year’s Copa America have been just as impressive.

The game was marred by two late red cards, one for either side, as the USA’s Michael Orozco was sent off for lashing out at Santiago Arias in the 93rd minute. Arias himself was then sent off after he failed to keep his emotions in check and started kicking out.

You can see Ospina’s save in the first video and the full highlights, including Carlos Bacca’s 31st minute goal that was enough to win it for Colombia and the sendings off at the end of the match, in the second.
