The long and short of the headlines this Tuesday are still concerning our move for Jamie Vardy and, as it stands, no one seems to actually have a clue whether he’s joining Arsenal or staying with Leicester City.

The Mirror, claimed that Arsene Wenger was braced for disappointment on Monday night after several of Leicester’s main men, Wes Morgan, Robert Hurt and Kasper Schmeichel , made an ’emotional plea’ to the 29-year-old, begging him to stay with the Foxes. Now, the Mirror are saying that we’re still confident of signing him, with John Cross claiming on Twitter that we’ve thrown the kitchen sink at him.

Violence is never the answer.

In addition, the midlands team have also offered the striker a new, improved contract but it’s highly unlikely that it’ll be anywhere near £120,000 a week, which we were willing to offer.

Meanwhile, James Olley from the London Evening Standard is saying that we’re now willing to wait until after the Euros – something no one initially wanted.

It’s all getting a little frustrating but, as I said on Monday, the longer it takes the less likely it seems we’ll be signing the striker.
