Arsenal have turned their attention away from Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez in order to prioritise Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to ESPN.

The link with the Armenian isn’t strictly new after he turned down a new contract with the German club and was reported to be house-hunting in London. However, until now, Juventus have more or less been favourites to get the playmaker’s signature. Although Chelsea and Spurs are reportedly also still after him, the Gunners now lead the way.

German publication, Kicker, claims that although he’ll be a huge loss to the Bundesliga club and is incredibly sort-after, they’re unsure if we’re willing to meet his high asking price, which is reported by the English media to be in the region of €35m.

Saying this, if the same publications are to be believed, we’re willing to turn out full attention to the player, despite our current link with Mahrez.
