The reports linking Arsenal to Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa are gathering pace at an alarming rate and we’ve now apparently tabled a bid.

On Monday, we reported on the story that we had apparently made an offer for the prolific goalscorer. Now, according to Brazilian radio, Radio Bandeirantes, the 19-year-old has turned down moves to PSG, Borussia Dortmund and Hebei China Fortun in favour of a move to England.

Despite initial reports that his asking price was around £40m, according to the same report, his current team Santos weren’t able to turn down a bid of €18m (around £15m), with numerous outlets saying that it’s Arsenal who have won the race to sign the promising youngster.

The goal machine, who has been labelled the ‘next Neymar’, scored 54 goals in 148 appearances for his Brazilian team and the buzz on Twitter surrounding him is exciting.
