Only four teams in the Premier League next season will travel fewer miles than Arsenal for away games, with an average Gunners trip working out at 136 miles.

Of course, that’s the problem with averages, they look a little ridiculous when you consider the individual games. London, for instance, offers Arsene Wenger’s men a number of short trips, with their closest away game just five miles away.

Their longest will be 277.

Overall, Arsenal will travel a total of 2,584 miles over the course of the league season in 16/17.

Swansea are the team who have to travel the most, perhaps how it should be given that they are based in another country. Their total is 4,126.

Here is a table featuring only Arsenal’s main rivals:

  1. Liverpool 2,824
  2. Chelsea 2,746
  3. Manchester United 2,690
  4. Manchester City 2,655
  5. Tottenham 2,636
  6. Arsenal 2,584
  7. Leicester 2,357
