Arsenal target, Alvaro Morata, has spoken about Real Madrid’s interest in buying him back and what he said might surprise you.

The striker was heavily linked with a move to north London recently but talk of Juventus selling him back to his original club, Real Madrid, for a buy-back clause of £25m, has ramped up over the past week or so.

When talking about his future, the 23-year-old seems exhausted with the speculation and just wants the deal to be wrapped up one way or another as soon as possible.

“I want to stop relying on others and just rely on myself,” he said to Onda Cero radio.

On the Madrid talks, he revealed that although he would love to play for the La Liga team, the squad is one of the best in the world so it may not be an appropriate move for him.

“Every player wants to go play Real Madrid but I think if there is all the space you need, is not the most appropriate.”

Morata seems to be sensible in the sense that he realises that he probably won’t get game time at Madrid. At Arsenal, he would.
