Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Borussia Moenchengladbach midfielder, Granit Xhaka, in the next 48 hours.

According to the Mirror, the 23-year-old has passed his medical and we all know from the leaked pictures that he’s had his photo shoot. It’s difficult to say why the deal hasn’t already been officially announced but we all know Arsenal, if it was up to them they probably wouldn’t announce it until he steps out on to the pitch for our first fixture of the 2016/17 season.

The Gunners are thought to have paid £30m, making Xhaka the third most expensive player in the squad behind Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez. He’ll add a bit of bite to our midfield, as well as quality passing and at the age of only 23, he’s got plenty of time to adapt.

Arsenal are currently being linked to a couple of players including Juventus striker, Álvaro Morata and Bayern Munich defender, Medhi Benatia. Could we be about to get all our business done before the Euros this summer?
