Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Mesut Ozil will be back within days.

The midfielder, who was suddenly left out of Arsenal’s squad to face Manchester City, was confirmed to have a slight hip injury. The boss acknowledged that he did train but was “unable to move” and therefore didn’t travel.

Saying this, Wenger insisted that it isn’t serious and that he should be back in a matter of days.

Although this does mean that the German could face Aston Villa in our final match of the season, if we don’t get the points against City, there’s no much use. It’s the big games we need Mesut in and although we’ve gone with an incredibly attacking lineup against the Blues, not having his vision on the pitch could really hurt us.

Hopefully it doesn’t. Spurs have dropped three points against Southampton at White Hart Lane and if we win, we’ll find ourselves level going into the final match of the season.
